my waking dream

A candid tear rolled by
A thought wrapped itself
In that tear,
Left me comfortably
While i woke up,
To you my waking dream

That lump in the throat
Froze the heart
Rising up in my body,
As but a crimson wish.
It was but dissolved,
Even before the dawn woke up.

Like water slipping through my palms,
That hope too just caressed and moved on
What you ask to be returned,
Is as real as a reflection of you
And if you think its held in my heart,
Then its as much with you
My waking dream!
