Prayer Flags, Bhutan

Taken from one of the highest points at Thimpu, these prayer flags are a sign of fluttering hope and proof of happiness that keep flying high in this country. Bhutan taught me to listen to nature. I can never forget how calm and peaceful Paro was when we landed in Bhutan on a beautiful August morning. The only sound that one could hear was the Paro chu (river). Untouched by too many cars, technology or infrastructural growth Bhutan still breathes ‘pure’ in its true sense.

  1. Absolutely breathtaking pic…

When I was in Ladakh, I realised this thing you say about nature – it really speaks to one! And the prayer flags waving in the mountain breeze – after all, what is god but belief!

    • I will probably have to spare a whole day only for Ladakh. There is so much to share from that amazing trip.
