Windmills, Suzlon Plant, Ratlam

These gigantic structures called the windmills should be called wondermills. They look magical from far away but are as you go closer you realise how sturdy, huge and even more out of this world they are. The sheer size is overwhelming. We were working with the kids, whose parents worked in these plants and had eventually built a small village around these windmills as going back to a village was far off. It seemed as if you were on a different planet and while on one hand the people were dealing with outstanding pieces of engineering they did not have enough electricity for themselves. We had to run our laptops on generators, which kept conking off now and then and often just did not work.
